Fort Myers, Fla., January 16, 2024— Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute (FCS), in collaboration with AdventHealth Heart of Florida and Central Florida Cancer Institute, has been granted a three-year accreditation from the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), a quality program of the American College of Surgeons (ACS). This is the second consecutive designation for AdventHealth Medical Group Breast Surgery at Davenport, which serves patients throughout Polk County.
The breast cancer program received this second consecutive designation for demonstrating continued compliance with national standards that address leadership, clinical services, research, community outreach, professional education and quality improvement for patients.
