Dr. Jonathan C. Trent, MD, PhD, serves as a professor of medicine, associate director of clinical research, and director of the Bone and Soft-Tissue Sarcoma Group at the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center of the University of Miami Health System in Miami, Florida. Trent earned a Bachelor of Science in chemistry from Southeastern Oklahoma State University and a Master of Science and PhD in cancer biology from The University of Texas Health Science Center.
The University of Texas Health Science Center awarded Trent an internship and residency in internal medicine, and he completed a fellowship in medical oncology at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.
Trent previously served as a faculty member at The University of Texas Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences in Houston and as an associate professor of medicine at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston in the Division of Sarcoma Medical Oncology and Division of Cancer Medicine.
