Merchant, DO, PhD, Chair, Radiation Oncology Department at St. Jude Children’s Research regarding young patients with ependymoma and how they can be treated effectively with a regiment of adjuvant radiation.
Murphy says that some patients who undergo a subtotal resection for ependymoma can go on to receive chemotherapy and possibly be eligible for a gross total resection.
