Jubilee Brown, MD, obstetrician-gynecologist, Levine Cancer Institute, Carolinas HealthCare System, discusses genetic counseling for patients with breast and ovarian cancer. With a multi-pronged approach that included physician and provider engagement and education, patient navigation, genetic counseling services, and telegenetics, there was an increase in the number of patients who were referred with ovarian cancer from 37% to 96% within a 2-year period.
