The management of patients is a continual moving target, and the challenge is staying in tune with the new developments, Yardley says. It is also important to counsel patients on the role of clinical trials, and offer them appropriate clinical trial opportunities.
There has been an explosion of new and novel drugs and targets as a result of patients and physicians communicating about clinical trial opportunities, Yardley says.
