Debu Tripathy, MD, chair, Breast Medical Oncology, University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, discusses the further investigation into immunotherapy's role in treating breast cancer. Tripathy says while immunotherapy is effective in cancer types that already generate an immune response, breast cancer types such as triple negative responds better to standard therapy despite being immunogenic.
