Lipsky,MD, highlights 6-year follow-up data from the phase 3 SEQUOIA trial (NCT03336333) showing that the BTK inhibitor zanubrutinib (Brukinsa) sustained a robust progression-free survival benefit vs chemoimmunotherapy in patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia. Of note, the study included a dedicated cohort of high-risk del(17p) patients who were all treated with zanubrutinib monotherapy, and the BTK inhibitor was effective in this patient population.
